FAQ

Q?

How long does the analysis take and when will I receive my results?

A.

The whole process takes just a few minutes and a Smart Analyst will discuss your results with you, which you'll be able to take with you immediately in hard copy. You will also receive your results via e-mail.

Q?

Are there any food/water restrictions I should consider prior to the test?

A.

While your results are unaffected by what you had to eat or drink prior to the test, for your own comfort, we recommend testing at at least one hour after your last meal.

Q?

Can I get a body composition analysis if I have a cold?

A.

Yes.

Q?

What’s the procedure?

A.

First, we measure your height. Then, you stand on the InBody platform with your bare feet and hold the handles with both hands. After a few seconds the scan will complete and we'll proceed to take your blood pressure as well. Finally, we print your results, discuss them with you, and give you the opportunity to schedule a follow-up appointment.

Q?

What should I wear? Will I need to undress?

A.

Whether you're wearing gym attire, a dress or a business suit, your results will not be affected. You will not need to undress either. The only requirement is that you take your shoes and socks off to allow the InBody platform to appropriately send and receive the signal through your feet.

Q?

Are there any age restrictions?

A.

Provided you can stand on your own feet, there are no age restrictions. We encourage parents to have their children's body composition measured, as it provides vital information to help in their development. The elderly are also encouraged.

Q?

Can the InBody damage my pacemaker?

A.

While the InBody cannot damage a pacemaker, people with pacemakers are required to bring a signed declaration from their doctor giving them full clearance to perform the body composition analysis.

Q?

I have a hearing aid and metal plates in one of my legs. Will this affect my results?

A.

No.
